About our Course:
We will collectively examine the ways in which psychological treatment can be traumatic for marginalized clients and the historical link between white supremacy and Black suffering. Participants should anticipate reflective questions from the facilitators to discuss and opportunities to engage collaboratively with other participants.
Meet our Facilitators:
KayeAnn Mason, LICSW is a Racial Equity Trainer, License Supervisor, Anti-Racist Practice Coach, Consultant and Psychotherapist in private clinical practice in Saint Paul, Minnesota. KayeAnn has over 35 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults struggling with the impact of living in what bell hooks calls an “imperialist white supremacist capitalist patriarchy”. Her work integrates anti-racism, anti-oppression, social justice, intersectional and liberatory frameworks. She believes that the root of racial healing for Black and Brown bodies is grounded in raising racial consciousness and in collective multi-systemic resistance.
